Designing a bedroom..need some advice..?

I'm designing a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom for a course i'm doing. I have been given a piece of fabric to be used for light upholstery or curtains etc. the fabric is striped faded blue, brown n greeny yellow..quite nice but the only problem is I am completely stumped as to what colours to go with for the bedroom and bathroom. Like what colour should i do the walls and what colour bedding should i use to go with the fabric i have been given. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!!!Designing a bedroom..need some advice..?
You can use florals, paisley or damask with stripes as long as the colors coordinate. Mixing patterns makes a room more interesting too. Use the fabric for curtains and maybe an accent pillow and get bedding like one of these:

Having bargain fabric is not necessarily a reason to use it.

Since you want fluid color flow between the bedroom and bathroom What color are the tiles (floor and bath area) in the bathroom? That is quite permanent unless you are going to remodel it ... So do those function with the fabric? Is the tile color in the fabric.

What woods are the bedroom furniture composed of? Decorating takes enormous thought. Take a piece of the fabric and start a color board and begin to put together your choices on color and see what works.

Consider the soft lime color for walls. You MUST carry a color swatch of the fabric for matching.

Cream or off white for bed linens with chocolate accents. Chocolate glossy pottery around the room as accents.

The fabric for the windows (how many yards do you have, one window would take at least 5 yards) Or use it for one or two throw pillows in the room with chocolate pillows and of course one to match the lime walls.

Have fun, It sounds like a great project.
