Tattoo design advice?

Hi, I was wondering if some of you could help me out...


I'm looking at getting a second tattoo, and would want it to represent strength, perseverance, and having overcome hardships. I was thinking a koi fish, or phoenix, but what would be other designs that would represent this?


PS. I'm looking for something more feminine than masculine.Tattoo design advice?
the yin yang in aisian cultures are actually represented by a dragon and tiger.


and pheonixs are good to get but think it will have to be big to get detail in. personally the koifish swimming up stream on your back would look the nicest, delicate colourful light and feminine. that would be your best bet i think.Tattoo design advice?
go sit and write down those words, then strat drawing what you feel or truely see in those words, sometimes it ends up cool, then you design your own one
If you get a koi fish, make sure it is swimming upstream. That would represent your ability to overcome obstacles.
